Photos from the 2016 Newport Workshops open day. This year we see:
Z526 (aka "Polly", formerly "Steam Crane No 3") from Scienceworks, with the Veteran Car Set from the VGR. Polly was the first loco to be built at Newport; Y419 (aka Y112); Rs 707, 761 and 711; Ks 190 (repainted in the weeks leading up) and 160 (heavy overhaul); J541 under overhaul for the YVR; A2 986 in her first public appearance after painting; A brief cameo from D3 639
Diesels: 707 Ops newly repainted F208 and W244, partly repainted after the second Newport fire; DERMs 58 and 56 (overhaul); and Steamrail's S313, M232 (231 with 232s plates. 232 was the last loco built at Newport), Ts 364 and 356, and various stored Ys. Electrics: Hitachi set 281+282M, and 295+296M, and Tait 381M.
