2014
Every two years Steamrail, DERMPAV and 707 Operations hold an open day to showcase their collections to the public. We see R707, R711, R761, Y112 and D3 639 moving around the yard, with A2 986 stationary under restoration, Ks 153 and 190 (burst a steam pipe early in the day), 58RM, M231, F317 (imported BR Class 11) and W241 the shunters, and L1162 awaiting return to running. Inside, J541 undergoing restoration for the Yarra Valley Railway beside R700, 107M and companions, and T413.

Tragically, 107M, 24D, 137M and 12AT were destroyed in a fire at the workshops on the 3rd of March 2015. This came only a couple of months before 107M and 137M were due to run again after 34 years of restoration.
