North Melbourne
Photos from the rail lookout near North Melbourne station. The tight, unlubricated curves on the flyover were partially to blame for the wheel wear issue that took most of the Vlocity units out of service in early 2016. In the background of some of the photos are 2 yellow gantries and some metal carrier wagons. Shortly (within a week) after taking these photos, the metal transfer terminal was closed, the track was removed and the gantries were scrapped. Sadly I never paid much attention to it and didn't get any photos of it in use.

Goldfields Explorer 2015
Some photos of the Goldfields Explorer 2015 at North Melbourne Station. The train ran to Castlemaine earlier in the day with R761 and K190, where K190 replaced D3 639 on the Victorian Goldfields Railway. Due to problems with the D3 at Kyneton the train was delayed for an hour, and without knowing which platform it would arrive on it was a rush down (and back up) the escalator when it did arrive.
